House of Cybele
How we are telling their story
The challenge
After working in the industry for 25 years, interior designer Jennifer Anderson Haysom wanted to create a first-of-its-kind exclusive networking group for the finest UK architects, designers, craftspeople, and artisans to join but how could we support Jennifer in her vision? Through the following:
The solution
- Source a venue for the launch and subsequent venues for future events and become the main liaison with the various venues’ events teams
- Identify two charity partners that aligned with House of Cybele’s vision and objectives – United in Design and Heritage Crafts
- Research potential businesses to invite to events to ensure we were reaching the right audience
- Create a social media content plan
- Write website copy and design a sitemap for houseofcybele.co.uk
- Draft presentations slides for the events and source and brief speakers
- Source a videographer and photographer and create briefs for them to follow
- Write ticketing website copy and attendees emails
- Create a biography of Jennifer to help secure future media interviews and speaker opportunities
- Produce newsworthy press releases such as using research which shows 62 specialist crafts are at risk of dying out without industry support
The results - The launch event was a sell out and subsequent events have followed suit
- Securing media coverage in South East Business magazine, Interior Designer magazine, FX Magazine, The Argus newspaper, Sussex Express newspaper, Brighton Journal, Sussex World, More Radio and The Guild of Master Craftsmen magazine
Mind Over Cancer
How we told their story
The challenge
We were tasked to support the launch of a new charity called Mind Over Cancer in East Anglia, which provides free mental health support to young cancer patients and their families and friends. So what did we do to support this amazing cause?
The solution
We created a launch announcement to help them raise an initial £50,000 and did this by:
- Creating a photoshoot featuring a former young cancer patient, their partner and charity team, displaying the emotions young cancer patients and their family and friends face. A regional press release aimed at East Anglia media was drafted, securing media coverage like this
- Sourced and wrote patient case studies so their stories could be used for website content and on their social media channels
- Supported the appointment of its first patron, creating a press release and social media assets, securing media coverage such as here
The results - We helped it achieve its initial fundraising target and the charity is now working hard on its roll-out plan to become nationwide.
