New client – Xavier Buendia

We’re really pleased to announce that talented photographer, artist and creative director Xavier Buendia has joined the Purely PR family as a new client and we can’t wait to work with you. 

Xavier Buendia is an award-winning internationally published food, portrait, documentary, and architecture photographer and artist. Originally from Mexico City, Xavi has been working as a professional photographer and living in Brighton for 10 years. Xavi’s photography career has been anything but conventional. Initially trained as a sommelier, which took him across the Mediterranean, New York, and the UK, at 30 he sought a creative reset and enrolled at university to study photography. His persistence and vision quickly set him apart, leading to photoshoots with renowned chefs such as Monica Galetti, Tom Aikens, and Douglas McMaster.

During the pandemic, Xavi expanded his practice beyond food and hospitality, earning an MA in documentary photography. His work evolved to explore human potential through portraiture, documentary, and personal branding. His ability to strip away stereotypes and present subjects authentically has attracted diverse clients from across Sussex and beyond, such as Fatto a Mano, Ridgeview Wine Estate, BOXPARK, TEDx Brighton, and PEBE.
